Paff Daddy’s Wacky Week 4 Recap

Paff Daddy’s Wacky Week 4 Recap

February 26, 20248 min read

Well fellas, turn the page, yet another chapter is history. Chapter 4 that is! Speaking of four, there 10 interesting facts about the number four this week!!

Fact #1 – There is only one team that has won 4 in a row!

Fact #2 – Out of 10 teams, and a combination of 29 total digits, only 1 team has the number 4 in their final score!

Fact #3 – There are exactly 4 teams that are 3-1!

Fact #4 – There are exactly 4 teams that are 1-3!!

Fact #5 – There is only one team who has lost 4 in a row!

Fact #6 – Out of the 5 different matchups, if you were to add up the two total scores from both sides, only 4 matchups would have the number 4 in it!!

Fact #7 – In the All Time Weekly High Score, under League History, after Brad put up 197.98 points, week 4 will now hold the most total highest scores, out of the top 10!!

Fact #8 – Paff Daddy currently sits 4th overall!

Fact #9 – Sam and Gregg are the only teams to have the number 4 in their name!

Fact #10 – All 10 members have names that are only 4 letters long!! See for yourself…1. Brad, 2. Drew, 3. Josh, 4. Greg, 5. Kyle, 6. Jake, 7. Paff, 8. Sami, 9. Bobs and 10. Conr!!

Alright! Let’s dig into this weeks wacky recap, shall we?!?!

As always, we start out with the Top Dog, that goes to none other, than Brad, The Putt Putt Man, Putnam!! By the way, this is now Brads second time taking home a Top Dog…but it didn’t come without clinching his but cheeks together, as I was hot on his hills this week! Congrats sir, and at the same time, go suck a corn cob! Haha

The matchup!!

Top Golf Pro vs Top Golf Whiffer:

Top Dog and Top Golf Pro, laid a hurting on The Top Golf Whiffer! With a score of 197.98 to 123.28, Drew did everything he could, but it was nowhere near a competition. There was major heart break in this one, as Drew lost Javonte Williams to a season ending injury, after only putting up 3.70 points for him. Meanwhile, an up and coming RB, Damion Pierce, sat on his branch, racking up 27.90 points!!  Talk about a whiff in every direction! His competitor, definitely took home the Bradley Cup, as three of his members, Russell Wilson, Justin Jefferson and TJ Hockenson put up 30 plus points, with the latter ending on a big note at 41.90! Geez! However, Brad too, got a little banged up, as Cordarrelle Patterson injured his knee and will be going on IR and out for at least 4 weeks!

Brad’s highest and lowest scoring starter – TJ Hockenson – 41.90

Najee Harris – 7.40

Drew’s highest and lowest scoring starter – Kyler Murray – 26.88

Amari Cooper – 1.90

Next up…

Paff Daddy vs The Gregg:

This one was a good one in so many ways! What looked like a win was in place for Greg, with sitting at 155.34 to 84.17, with ol Paff Daddy only having 4 players left to go, came in like a wrecking ball! Tom Brady, whom Greg JUST dropped and Paff picked up, put up 31.40 points…Mike Evans, whom Robert was so kind to trade to Paff, put up 32.30 points….Deebo, whom Brad was so kind to trade to Paff, put up 25.70 points and Fournette, his keeper, put up 18.40 points! Like I said, from 84.17 to 192 points…a wrecking ball!! Let’s gooo!! But, I have to say, this was a fight of the Kickers and Defenses for sure…Greg’s Eagles D – 20, Paffs Giants D – 17. Greg’s K – 15, Paffs K – 13!

Greg’s highest and lowest scoring starter – Tyreek Hill – 27.90

Kyle Pitts – 3.50 (he picked Pitts up from Brad, by giving away Hockenson…big ouch)

Paff’s highest and lowest scoring starter – Mike Evans – 32.30

Drake London – 3.70

Next up…

Jesus vs The man who hasn’t changed his name:

On that note, I must say, there’s a reason your 0-4 Jake, and it’s because you haven’t changed your name or reached out to see what your team name and picture is suppose to be! Let this be a lesson, that if you don’t follow rules, karma will get you and make you lose 4 in a row, regardless of having the most total points performed against you!! Let that sink in for a minute! Now ask yourself, what should you do to win now? I’d say, change the name and pic, and good things will most likely happen!!

Anyhow…Jake said a little prayer, but Jesus didn’t listen, as he continues his path to righteousness!! Yep, Jesus slapped the man while he was down, and squashed him like a little bug, with a 163.52 to 80.76!! Ouch! Not a single player scored more than 17 points for Jake, and only 3 of them had double digits. All while Kyle’s top 4 players went off for 21 plus each! Not to mention, Josh Jacobs even sitting on his bench with 36.50 points. Goes to show you how prepared Jesus was on this one. We don’t typically call Jesus a killer or even a murderer, but, he did so against Jake this week. Chin up Jake, I’m telling you, it’s all because of the name and pic bud! And with that, Jesus says…”Let’s Ride!” As he heads up to the pearly gates of heaven!

Kyle’s highest and lowest scoring starter – Austin Ekeler – 34.90

Broncos D – 1

Jake’s highest and lowest scoring starter – Courtland Sutton – 16.20

Tony Pollard – 1.80

Next up…

The Baby Don vs. The Big Eagle:

Can anyone put this man down?!?! Yet again, Conr comes in and just mops the floor with his opponents. Josh had a good thing set, and thought he had Conr in his scope, but The Baby Don, lives on! No one seems to out campaign this guy! No matter how big of a fake folks think he is, he just keeps everyone on their toes, and keeps winning! Will he continue to make fantasy great again? Will he continue to win and climb the polls all the way to the top? Only time will tell, but for now, he’s on a roll!

As for Josh, his main guy, Hurts, just couldn’t do what he’s use to seeing him do, as he put up only 15.96, after seeing 30 points, on average the weeks before! On top of that, Gabe Davis didn’t help matters by putting up only 2.30 points. Note to make…The Eagle has landed, but rest up pal, you’ll spread those wings again, and will fly, fly, fly!!

Connor’s highest and lowest scoring starter – Travis Kelce – 24.20

Michael Carter – 4.90

Josh’s highest and lowest scoring starter – DK Metcalf  – 23.90

Greg Dortch – 1.60

Last, but not least…

The Soy Borthers:

Ahhh yes!!! There’s nothing like a fight between brothers! Who will be right?!?! Who will be wrong?!?! Who will win?!?! And who will lose?!?! If I didn’t have a match myself, I would have sat down, with some popcorn, to watch the dueling brothers go at it!! But, I’ll be honest, this fight, looked more like a cartoon than anything else! Picture this… Robert (Elmer Fudd) is out with his gun, hunting for rabbits in the woods. When out of nowhere, Sam (Bugs Bunny), appears, and says, “Ehhhh, what’s up doc?!” Elmer (Robert) turns quickly to point his gun at the rabbit! But, Bugs(Sam) is no where in sight. And with that, Robert turns and looks right into the camera, and says, “That rascally rabbit, he got away again!”

That’s all folks!

Yep, and just like in Looney Tunes, when it says, “That’s All Folks!” That’s all Sam said to Robert!!

But, to be fair, Sam got lucky, as only 2 of his players really produced, and those two, Kupp and Higgins, put up 55.60 together. Outside of that, JT, his worst producer, only put up 3.30.

As for Robert…I just don’t knew what to say man! My dear friend tried to do everything he could to beat his brother: including making some trade moves to better his RB situation, but, it back fired, as the one WR he traded away, with have won it this week for him. Don’t believe me? Check the numbers yourself…if he hadn’t got Aaron Jones, and put either Dobbins or Penny in, plus had Evans, who he traded away, in place of Aiyuk or Batemon, it would have won by 7 or more points! Sorry bud…better luck hunting those rascally rabbits next time!

Robert’s highest and lowest scoring starter – Christian McCaffrey – 25.80

Riley Patterson – 3

Sam’s highest and lowest scoring starter – Cooper Kupp  – 28.20

Jonathan Taylor – 3.30

Alright guys! It’s been real…it’s been fun, and it’s been real fun! But it’s time to come to a close on this thing! See y’all next week and good luck!!

BBY953 2022 Fantasy Football Draft

This is the Godfather league. The start of it all. In 2010, Steve and Brad were working together at Best Buy, store 953, in Asheville, NC. There was interest across the store in getting a fantasy football league started, so Steve took it upon himself to create the league, and organize a draft. Our first 4 years of drafting, took place at Hickory Tavern (remember, if you’re not doing it in person, you’re doing it wrong). They were gracious hosts, always giving us a great location to put up a draft board, and making sure the group was always taken care of with food and drinks.

Since those early years, the group has changed over time. What started off as a league full of Best Buy 953 employees (hence the BBY953 league name), there are now only 4 of us left that have that original link. However, we’ve now built a solid foundation. And a brotherhood. Our current 10 have been together for coming up on 6 years (with the addition of one new person, as we lost one a couple years back due to political talk….Again, go read the first blog post in The Commissioner’s Corner).

This past years draft took place at Timber, an Axe Throwing facility in Hendersonville, NC. This was an absolute blast! They were fantastic hosts, had everything ready to go when we got there. Their instructions and guidance were more than we could have asked for.

The best part was, no one in our league was an expert. We took advantage of that and setup a points bracket that led to a tournament. The tournament let us figure out our draft order for 2023’s draft (always get creative…drawing names each year can get so dull).

If this sounds like what you’ve been looking for, contact us today so we can get started on planning your next Fantasy Football Draft before its too late!

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING

Not only will they put on an incredible event, they're also very knowledgeable on league settings, and have great ideas on how to enhance a league. We now have incentive to not finish last 🙂

Connor

Live drafting with everyone was hands down the best experience I've ever had. You went above and beyond any of our expectations!

Our third year in a row now using The Draft Xperience for our dynasty league. Each year tops the last. Thank you guys for making the best day of the year even better!
