Like Craig Mack said “here comes the brand new flavor in ya ear”, except this isn’t for your ear. More so for the eyes. Either way, its brand new, and it is called…BEFORE IT STARTS! Before it starts, is just like the recap, however, its Paff Daddy’s take on what I predict will happen and some fun things on each match, before the Sunday games begin!

Here we go….

BEFORE IT STARTS!

Let’s start with the current #1 team vs the #4 team! That’s right, Sam vs. Brad! 

This match ought to be a good one, as both teams are primed to be a top performer, every single week! Though neither had the greatest start on Thursday night, with Brad taking a slight lead with Harris putting up 13.10 points to Sam’s Hunt putting up 9.10 points. With that being said, will Brad give Sam his first loss, or with Sam stay undefeated for another week? My prediction? Pretty dang tough one here, as both have power house QBs with good matchups. Brad with Mahomes and Sam with Lamar. On top of that, both teams have two very strong WRs on both sides. Brad with Jefferson and Chase and Sam with Kupp and St. Brown! But, I think Sam has the slight edge with JT sitting there ready to take advantage of the KC defense. But, don’t quote me on this one, as it could very well come down to the wire and Brad could sneak a W in on Sam. It’ll be a coin flip, but my prediction is:

Next up is the other guy who is currently undefeated! Connor, #2 vs the #8 team, Robert! Neither team had anyone go on Thursday, so we are truly at ground zero here. This one could be a tough one for Connor. Though he has Herbert as his QB, something tells me that he’s either not going to play or he’s going to play in a lot of pain, which is going to affect his production for sure. If Herbert is a no go, yeah, he has Tua, but Tua plays one of the best and toughest defenses right now in the Bills! Both teams are pretty balanced here and once again, going to be hard to predict who wins this one. I think, because of Herbert’s situation, I’m going to give Robert the sight edge here on this one. Good luck to both, as it’s going to be a hard fought fight for sure!!

Kyle (#3) vs Josh (#5) 

Ahhh, the two newest guys to our league! Josh, the Bird Man, Eagle fan and Kyle, Superman or Jesus, the “Let’s Ride” Broncos fan, are both off to a pretty hot start! Both are at 1-1, so this is truly a fight to see which newbie takes down the other!! Both have very strong QBs, with Kyle having Josh Allen and Josh having Jalen Hurts! I’ll give Josh the edge with better RBs, Saquon Barkley, Dalvon Cook and David Montgomery than Kyles Austin Ekeler, Josh Jacobs and Miles Sanders. But Kyle has the better WRs in Devante Adams, Brandon Cooks and Tyler Lockett vs Joshs Gabe Davis, DK Metcalf and Jakobi Meyers. I will however, predict that the winner between these two, will be Kyle, as he has the better TE in Mark Andrews and Defense in the Bucs! With that said, I say Jesus takes his second victory here….LETS RIDE!!

Next up….the Commish, lol, myself, Steve vs Drew, the brother in law! Though we are both 1-1, neither one of us like that number 6 and 7 position! We both have points to show for on the board from Thursday nights game! Drew has 3 players, including a WR, a TE and his K,  go for a total of 35.20 points, to my RB, Nick Chubb to the tune of 19.30 points! This one is going to be tough, as I feel both our teams are pretty even here. I feel Drew has the better QB In Murray vs Carr, however, I do like my juicy matchup Carr has vs a very weak Ten defense. Last week, Josh Allen blew up Ten to the tune of completing 28-38 pass attempts for 317 yards and 4 TDs! Once again, as it seems to be the theme this week, with no one really standing out above the other by a long shot in any way….I predict…well, myself! Haha! How can I root against my own team?! So yeah, suck it Drew, you’re going down! I predict, I will pull out a W on you and I’ll see you on the next go around! Peace out!!! 

Paff Daddy’s Pick: Himself (homer)

Last but not least, our two bottom dwellers competed against each other! That’s right, Greg, number 9 vs Jake, number 10 will be duking it out to see who stays in dead last as one of them will end up being 0-3! Ouch! Rough place to be! Now Jake is off to a good start on this one, as he has Diontae Johnson put up 16:40 and his Def put up 11! That being said, Jake is up 27.40 to 0, as Greg hasn’t had anyone go yet! With the nice lead and the players Jake has, I still think Jake takes the edge on this one and pushes Greg to the very bottom of the barrel! Jake has a strong team, but, if Swift isn’t able to go at full health on Sunday, then that very well could be Greg’s ticket to taking over the lead. Hard to say, as i like both teams, but both seem to have weak QB play with Greg’s Tom Brady showing his true age lately and Fields not living up to what he should be for Jake, it still could be anyone’s game! If Swift is good to go, I give Jake the edge on this match, but if he doesn’t, then it truly could come down by the slightest of points!
